Welcome to the Patch Showcase!! This site is dedicated to the exhibit
and collecting of patches from Background information on this siteI was born and raised on Long Island NY, in Greenlawn, which was in Suffolk Co. Division 2. I always wanted to be a Greenlawn fireman, but I moved just after turning 18, so I was never able to join. Collecting division 2 patches makes me feel close to my hometown and all the fire departments I remember growing up. My cousin is also a Greenlawn fireman. I spent many weekends and summers in Egremont Mass. at Prospect Lake where my family has owned a vacation house since 1977. This is right on the border of Columbia County NY, where we also spent a lot of time. My mom basically grew up in Austerlitz NY as her family has land and homes there. My same cousin also volunteers for Austerlitz and Red Rock Fire Departments. I moved to Pittsylvania County in 1993 where I am a Firefighter/EMT. I'm a former 911 dispatcher for the county. I served there for 10 years. This is my new home and I have a lot of pride in our police, fire, and EMS departments.
